Stock Up for Hope Charity Drove (2013)
The Stock Up for Hope Charity Drove has in recent years raised over $300,000 per event for school chaplaincy programs across the Queensland state.
The 2013 event was run in the toughest drought conditions ever experienced by organisers. Despite cattle market decline and severe drought, the Artesian team felt this event was needed more than ever to support the bush families experiencing real crisis and to celebrate the role of the school chaplain who injects hope into the lives of the kids.
The ‘Virtual Mob’ concept was developed to raise additional funds, giving the city folk opportunity to ‘back the bush’. We are thrilled with the interest the virtual mob has received, including its reference on prime time ABC TV, with tens of thousands raised from all around Australia, going straight back to the chaplains and the programs they run.
